What this covers

This page explains what Digital Nepal.site collects when you create a card, and what is recorded when somebody visits one. It applies to digitalnepal.site and every card published on it.

Digital Nepal.site is operated from Pokhara, Nepal by Safal Bhattarai.

What you give us

Only what you type in. That is:

• Account details — your name, email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture.
• Card content — everything you add to your card: role, company, bio, location, phone, email, website, links, socials, files and images.
• Anything you publish on your card is public to anyone with the link. Do not put details there you would not hand to a stranger.

What we record about visitors

When somebody opens your card we record the event so you can see your analytics. We keep the event, not the person.

• The action taken — page view, link click, social click, contact save, file download.
• Approximate country and city, derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored on the event.
• Device, browser and operating system family, and the referring site.
• A visitor hash used to tell repeat visits apart. It cannot be reversed into an identity, and it is not shared with anyone.

What we never do

• No advertising networks and no third-party trackers on cards.
• We do not sell, rent or share your contacts or your visitors' data.
• We do not follow visitors across other websites.
• We do not read your enquiry messages except when you ask us for support with them.

Services we rely on

A small number of providers process data so the product can work:

• MongoDB Atlas — stores accounts, cards and analytics events.
• Cloudinary — stores images and files you upload.
• An email provider — sends verification, password reset and notification email.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
• If you connect Google Analytics to your own card, that data goes to your Google account under Google's terms, not ours.

How long it is kept

• Account and card data: until you delete your card or close your account.
• Analytics events: retained so your historical charts keep working, and deleted with the card.
• Enquiries: until you delete them from your inbox.
• Backups may hold deleted content for a short period before they roll over.

Your choices

• Set your card to private at any time from Dashboard → Settings; it stops resolving for everyone immediately.
• Edit or remove any field on your card yourself — changes are live at once.
• Export your enquiries from the dashboard.
• Ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by writing to hello@digitalnepal.site.

Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions are token-based and can be revoked from the dashboard, and traffic is served over HTTPS. No system is perfect: if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you what happened and what to do about it.

Children

Digital Nepal.site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders.
